What's Acupuncture?
|
|
The basic concepts of my acupuncture
treatment
|
|
I regard the flow of Qi as the most important
subject.
Qi (Chi) is vital energy that flows all over
the living body. Qi is like leaping warm
vapor. I've touched it directly only a couple
of times, though. For the diagnosis of acupuncture
treatment I try to arrange the information
from both Western and traditional Chinese
Medicine. In the midst of the shower of thought,
it is too difficult to be conscious clearly
the message from the unconscious. By the
five senses and the sixth sense, plus some
skills such as the Finger Test, I try to
catch the flow of Qi at a constant level.
Acupuncture is of Chinese origin.
More than
1500 years, it has been developed
in a different
way. My treatment is based on
Japanese acupuncture
in actual period. |

Simple résumé about traditional
Chinese Medicine
Qi runs through the meridian routes and circulates
around the body fifty times a day. Qi is
interchangeable between persons. The principal
meridians are 14, divided two types called
yin and yang. The yin and yang are contrary,
such as female and male, dark and light,
soft and hard. Everything has both sides,
whose proportion is changing every moment.
Qi flows from yin to yang, and from yang
to yin.
Everything, including the meridians, is categorized
five elements; wood, fire, earth, metal and
water. Each feeling, such as anger, joy,
thought, sorrow and fear, also belongs to
one of five elements. Based on the traditional
Chinese Medicine, the most important theme
is how to keep the balance of every element.
Acupuncture regulates the balance
of power. |

If the flow of Qi is stagnant...
All current things are fresh and clean when
they flow smooth. If something obstructs
the flow of water, the flow becomes stagnant.
The stagnant water makes the flow get slower,
and it gets dirty and dirty. It is a vicious
circle.
What do you do when you need fresh air? You
may open the window as the entrance. And
then, if you open the window as the exit,
the wind will be much faster. You can say
the same thing for the flow of Qi. It is
like a chimney, exhaust, drain, etc. They
must be cleaned up to use better. Qi brings
the fresh blood and improves a power of natural
healing.
Acupuncture sweeps the meridian routs to
call the fresh energy. |
 |
What does the stagnancy do?
Overtiredness and depression make the energy
of Qi down, then the power of natural healing
will down.
Stiff muscles, chill and coldness cause the
stagnancy. If you throw away a pebble in
a stream, leaves and trashes are caught next
to next. The small mound grows bigger and
bigger, and comes to obstruct the flow.
When you are out of condition, the body have
partial imbalance of the shortage and excess.
Then, the sickness is easy to enter the body.
Partial excess occurs around and above the
mound. Partial shortage occurs below the
stream.
Especially, people, who have autonomic imbalance,
tend to lose the balance of nervous system
easily. Panic syndrome is an extreme case.
Acupuncture teaches the body how to regular
the imbalance. |

Arts of traditional medicine
Acupuncture needles and moxa are traditional
instruments. I use also some tools such as,
golden grains, silver grains, magnets, and
kinetic taping. It is alike to Archimedes's
principle. They work as a lever to move the
flow.
First, I do meridian treatment to regulate
generally by the thinnest Japanese needles.
Next, I try to draw the tension by a little
thicker needles. I use also the Chinese needles
or electric needles as the case may be.
Moxa is very excellent item that can lead
to two absolutely contrary effects. Moxibustion
not only warms the affected part but also
cools freely, on condition you have mastered
the skill handed down from the old century.
Finally, I use my own hands, too. The skill
is combined in my way with anma, shiatsu,
and sports massage.
So I can give you the treatment at a constant
level. Moreover, the encounter of you and
me is also the very important concept, I
think. |

Might be flying in the air!
When you are in bad condition, you feel heavy.
The sickness appeals to you without an interval.
After you cured, you won't remember even
you have a body. You will get freedom and
live as you want.
It is said the mind rules the body, but the
body also has great influence on the mind.
The more your body gets lighter, the more
your mind gets lighter. Then you should be
able to survive easily.
Acupuncture can arrange the body. That is
the first step. Let's try to arrange the
internal balance, such as thoughts, senses,
feelings, emotion and acts. And, let's try
to arrange the external balance that is the
relationship with other people, with your
circumstances, and with nature.
I believe, if you will change, your environment
will change. Actually it needs very long
time. But, if you practice, you will get
a lot of future. |
